About this comparison
Drought Watch compares NCAA Division I teams on four scoring-drought metrics: droughts per game, average drought duration, points allowed during dry spells, and head-to-head record when both teams have played. The picker covers every D-I program currently in the database, and the chart underneath each pair updates the moment you change either side.
Two teams who look similar on points per game can diverge sharply on these numbers — one endures three short dry spells per game while the other has a single backbreaking five-minute cold stretch. That difference predicts close-game outcomes more reliably than raw scoring average, which is why we built the comparison view as its own page rather than burying it in the team profiles.
