Billing & Refunds

Rival Alerts is currently free. This page describes how billing will work when paid plans launch and our refund policy at that time. It supplements the Terms of Service. If we introduce paid plans, we will notify you by email before any charge.

1. Billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at checkout) through our payment processor, Stripe.
  • By subscribing, you authorize Nektar Insights LLC and Stripe to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
  • Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.
  • If a charge fails, we may pause your subscription and email you to update your payment method.

2. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from your account or by emailing us. When you cancel:

  • Your subscription remains active through the end of the current billing period.
  • You will not be charged again.
  • You can resubscribe at any time.

3. Refunds

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, unused time, or alerts that did or did not fire. This includes situations where a rivalry game is canceled, a season ends, a rival fails to lose, or you change your mind.

Exceptions, at our sole discretion:

  • A duplicate or accidental charge.
  • A confirmed service outage that prevented delivery of alerts for an extended period.
  • Where required by applicable law.

4. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is in error, please contact us first — we’ll resolve legitimate issues quickly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in immediate termination of your account and a permanent ban from the Service.

5. Free trials and promotions

If we offer a free trial or promotional pricing, the terms of that offer will be disclosed at signup. Unless stated otherwise, trials convert to paid subscriptions automatically; you can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
