Rival Alerts is a simple product with a specific job. You pick a college football or MLB team you root against. Every time they lose, an email lands in your inbox within minutes of the final whistle — with a short, sharp, ready-to-forward message tuned to the team and the situation. No app to install. No feed to scroll. Just the line you would have wanted to send to the group chat anyway, written for you and waiting.
Three things make this work where a generic score notification doesn't. The message is written, not templated — the tone shifts with the margin, the game flow, and what the loss means for the standings. You pick the register: clean ribbing, a funny aside, or full savage. And the timing is the point. The alert lands while the loss is still raw, when the message hits hardest.
