Home Services
A Residential Solar & Home-Services Operator
No forward visibility into installs. Sales and ops on different numbers.
The Problem
This residential solar and home-services operator had no reliable way to see future installation completions. Sales projected one set of numbers, operations tracked another, and the two never reconciled — so leadership planned capacity and cash against forecasts nobody trusted.
Pipeline, revenue, and install status each lived in a different tool. Answering "how many installs actually close next quarter" meant stitching exports together by hand, and the answer changed depending on who built it.
What I Built
- →Automated ETL pulling pipeline, revenue, and install data from 3 source systems on a daily cadence, with data-quality checks
- →A DOMO executive dashboard surfacing the metrics that actually drive the business, refreshed automatically
- →A forecasting model with user-controllable conversion rates, seasonality, and growth factors, driven off live pipeline data
The Outcome
- ✓6-month forward visibility into installation completions, per installer
- ✓The first accurate, trusted forecast in company history
- ✓Sales and ops finally planning against one set of numbers
